Norway - Finn-ish Style

The scenery on the islands to the west of Tromso is spectacular and they are linked by good roads, very occasional bridges and a network of small vehicle-ferry routes. The sea does not penetrate as deeply into the glacial valleys as in southern Norway so there are a number of flatter areas for scattered settlement. We were there in mid-June and many mountains still had significant patches of snow.
